dollarFor years, people have trusted the Kelley Blue Book to help them purchase a vehicle.

It’s great resource.

However, many people rely too much on this single resource. Here’s why it shouldn’t be your only car-buying tool.

It Doesn’t Provide Comprehensive Reviews – If you really want to know more about the vehicle, you need to go online and read reviews by publications as well as vehicle owners. It Doesn’t Provide Car History – If you’re buying a used car, you’ll definitely want to find out more about its history. A good resource to help you is CARFAX.It Doesn’t Show You How to Inspect a Vehicle – How can you know the value of the vehicle if you can’t really tell its condition? It’s very important to learn how to inspect a vehicle so you don’t buy a lemon. It’s Only One Resource – If you’re only using the Kelley Blue Book, you’re not using all of the tools at your disposal.

This is NOT to say that the Kelley Blue Book is a terrible resource. It’s actually great at helping you buy a car. However, it’s important to use other tools.
